2024-2025 Indiana String Teachers Association High School Director of the Year

Keegan Lammers is the Director of Orchestras at Zionsville Community High School (ZCHS). She was recently named the Indiana String Teachers Association High School Director of the Year. Before her time at ZCHS, she was the orchestra director at Rutherford B. Hayes High School in Delaware, Ohio, where she also co-taught 5th and 6th grade orchestras. Lammers graduated manga cum laude from DePauw University with her Bachelor of Music Education. While at DePauw, she received several academic awards including the Leah Curnutt Prize and multiple associations “Outstanding Future Educator” awards.

Lammers served as Principal Violist of the DePauw Symphony Orchestra and was the violist of the Asbury String Trio, the elite scholarship ensemble at DePauw. She studied viola with Dr. Nicole Brockmann and Deborah Price. In recent years, she has performed with the Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis.

Lammers enjoys teaching music outside of the public schools as well. Having completed multiple Suzuki certification courses, she maintains a private violin/viola studio. She previously conducted the Junior Orchestra and coached chamber music at the Ohio Wesleyan University Summer Music Camp. Most recently, she was on the orchestra staff for the 2025 Indiana Musicians Abroad tour of Europe.

Outside of music, Ms. Lammers enjoys traveling, riding her horses, spending time with family, and all things Taylor Swift.
