What We Do

ZOinc helps Ms. Lammers gather and coordinate volunteers for events, provides input on decisions for the orchestra program, and funding to assist with the many activities of the orchestra: hiring sectional coaches and clinicians, providing awards, organizing community-building events, assisting with contest fees, and more.

ZOINC aims to:

• Provide financial resources to the orchestra.

• Assist the music department in its educational efforts.

• Aid in development of student interest in music.

• Support and promote student leadership responsibilities in the orchestra program.

• Sponsor and support orchestra performances for the community.

ZOINC Board Members

Meet the parents volunteering during the 2024-25 School year. Members are voted in at a public orchestra meeting (usually an ice cream social) at the beginning of the school year.

Amanda Cooper Steele

The ZOINC President supervises conduct and activities and helps the board support our director and orchestra students.

Candace Murphy

Treasurer 

Our Treasurer keeps track of accounts, receipts and disbursements and gives an accounting at each board meeting.

Secretary & Web Manager

The Secretary keeps the minutes of all board meetings and sends the notes to board members. The Web Manager maintains this website.

Our membership director heads up our yearly membership drive and maintains a list of our registered students.

The communications director is responsible for informing the public about ZOINC's efforts to support the orchestra program.

ZOINC Support Members

These members aid the board members and the ZCHS Orchestras by providing volunteer hours during the school day, organizing orchestra parents to volunteer and by fundraising.

Fundraising & Volunteer Coordinator

This member supervises fundraising projects and makes the public aware of opportunities to support the orchestra through volunteering efforts.

Uniforms Position Open

Uniforms

The volunteer in charge of uniforms helps fit students for their concert uniforms during the first few weeks of school. They order new uniforms if needed.

Spiritwear Position Open

Spiritwear

The Spiritwear coordinator decides on items to make available to the orchestra community for purchase and coordinates the sale period.
